The Record Store experience was stacked with opportunities for consumers to explore and learn about Toronto’s deep-rooted musical history, including interactive touch screens, an all-vinyl records listening area, and more.
Myseum Toronto-centric Record Store + Exhibit
"Music from A People's City" Record Store and Exhibition was a fully functional "Toronto only" pop-up record shop for Myseum that told the story of Toronto's rich musical history in an engaging and immersive way. Somewherelse conceptualized, designed, built and operated the interactive retail experience.
A highlight was an interactive and illustrated map of Toronto’s downtown’s neighbourhoods, painted by local muralist Emily May Rose and made interactive by multimedia artist Karl Skene.
Consumers could touch various neighbourhoods and explore its connections to Toronto’s music history through audio-visual content and storytelling
